Britney Spears Johnny Wright wants money he says is owed to him
Britney Spears is being sued by a former manager who says she owes him months worth of commission.
Johnny Wright who manages superstar Justin Timberlake and The Backstreet Boys, was Spears' manager until February 2003, and a contract stated that he would continue to receive commission until February 2008 for deals he worked on for Spears.
But according to reports, Spears stopped paying him almost a year ago, in December 2006.
A lawsuit filed in Florida partially blames the cessation of payment on Spears habitual hiring and firing of her management this year, saying Wright Entertainment Group had attempted to work with each new team.
Spears was served with the papers outside a medical centre in California yesterday (November 1).
Her fifth album 'Blackout' was released in the US on Tuesday and is expected to reach number one, despite doing virtually no official publicity interviews for the release.
