Created On: Monday, 14 January 2008 Hits: 53  DMX The rapper missed the court hearing on Friday (January 11), but was ordered by Prince George's County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Smith to pay the substantial damages in his absence. The case stems from an interview DMX – real name Earl Simmons - carried out with Sister 2 Sister magazine, where he claimed that Monique Wayne sexually assaulted him in 2003 which led to her falling pregnant. Her lawyer Stephanie Moran said that the decision was reached for DMX to pay $518,000 in compensation and $1million in punitive damages. Wayne told US publication The Post: "It's not so much the price, it's the point I wanted to get across. Let him think about what he's going to say before he says it." Share this article to:        |
