Amy Winehouse Amy Winehouse is considering releasing an unusual festival album, according to her producer Mark Ronson.
Ronson, who produced Winehouse’s number one album ‘Back To Black’, says that the singer had been writing a number of festive themed songs.
“We’re talking about making a holiday record, with Christmas songs on one side and Hanukkah songs on the other,” Ronson said. “She’s got songs called, like, ‘Kosher Kisses’ and ‘Alone Under the Mistletoe'.
“She was kind of fucking around, but I was like, ‘You have all these amazing records to play for Christmas, like Motown and Carla Thomas and the Charlie Brown Christmas, and unfortunately, US Jews have nothing that cool to listen to. So we should do something.”
Ronson also told Rolling Stone that he hopes to enter the studio with the singer later this year to begin work on the official follow-up to ‘Back To Black’.
He admitted that Winehouse had been writing songs for her third album despite her persistent personal problems.
