 Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead Jonny Greenwood up for film soundtrack.
Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood has been nominated for a BAFTA award, it has been announced today (January 16).
The guitarist has been shortlisted in the music category for his soundtrack for the film ’There Will Be Blood’.
The movie about the oil industry stars Daniel Day Lewis.
The full nominations for the music award are: 'American Gangster' – Marc Streitenfeld 'Atonement' – Dario Marianelli 'The Kite Runner' – Alberto Iglesias 'There Will Be Blood' – Jonny Greenwood 'La Vie En Rose' – Christopher Gunning
The awards take place on February 10, while Greenwood is also tipped to receive an Oscar nomination for the soundtrack.
Also nominated for the BAFTAs ins Joy Division biopic 'Control' which is up for Best British Film, Best Supporting Actress (Samantha Morton) and the Orange Rising Star awards (Sam Riley).
Meanwhile the guitarist also confirmed today that Radiohead will play a gig tonight. Thom Yorke and co will play an in store gig at the Rough Trade East shop in London from 8pm (GMT).
