The book, which is expected to hit the shelves in autumn 2009, will see Michael tell a “no-holds barred” story of his life. Andy Stephens, Michael’s manager, said: “People aren't stupid, they're beginning to notice that the truth is more interesting than the stories the press come up with.” Harper-Collins would not disclose the fee that Michael will receive for his memoirs but it is understood to be one of the biggest in British publishing history, reports AP. Belinda Budge, managing director and publisher of Harper NonFiction UK, said the book would be “truly authentic”. "This is an incredibly exciting publishing event,” she added.
