Global Breakthrough Festival Returns to Cape Town
Global Breakthrough Festival
If you're sick of the cold winter and ever sicker of spending obscene amounts of money in Ibiza (where, let's be honest, the cops haven't been too friendly of late), then this could be the clubbing holiday you're looking for. The heat of South Africa, coupled with the talent of international DJs like Luciano, Âme and Henrik Schwarz has got to be a winning combination, hasn't it? 365mag took a closer look…in your interests, of course.

The Miller Global Breakthrough Festival encompasses five days in Cape Town, where clubbers will get the chance to enjoy the sunshine of South Africa, at a fraction of the cost of Ibiza. There are parties every night, with the settings for these events ranging from a beach venue to yacht, plus a special one-off in a warehouse for that authentic underground touch. So you're not just stuck in clubs all week, you'll get a bit of variety with your evening's entertainment. - and there will be plenty to do during the day.

Cape Town is an international tourist centre, after all, so there are plenty of sights to see during the day.

'So, who's providing the tunes?' 365mag hears you ask. Well, there's Circo Loco's own patron saint Luciano, whose minimal madness is now one of the worst kept secrets in clubland. The Swiss Chilean party monster is playing at the warehouse party, which should be one of the highlights of the event. Then there's Henrik Schwarz and Âme (Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann) who will be playing during Saturday night's big event on the top of Signal Hill, which has panoramic views of Cape Town, the Atlantic and Robben Island to entertain you, if the deep tunes of these German geniuses aren't enough.

The dates are: Cape Town, South Africa
27, 28, 29 February
1, 2 March
