Created On: Monday, 21 January 2008 Hits: 48 ![]() Foo Fighters US scriptwriters have been on strike since November 5 over royalty payments, and there are fears that a picket line at the Grammy’s on February 10 could keep performers away from the event. But in a statement, Foo Fighters’ manager John Silva said that he hoped the strike could be resolved and added: "There's no question that the Grammys are a highlight of every year for the industry and audiences alike, and we're thrilled that the Foo Fighters will be performing on the show." The Recording Academy behind the Grammy Awards has previously asked the Writer’s Guild to lift any potential picket line from the ceremony, something they have said is unlikely to happen. It’s hoped that the announcement from The Recording Academy that two big names are playing will encourage others to follow suit. |
