Bloc Party's Side Project Confirms First 'Solo' Release

The pair have been working on new material too.

Pin Me Down, the transatlantic alliance between Bloc Party guitarist Russell Lissack and New Yorker Milena Mepris, have confirmed details of their first release.

The transatlantic duo will release a 12-inch remix single of ‘Cryptic’ this Spring.

Lissack’s New York-based bandmate Milena Mepris also revealed the pair have been penning new tracks and posted on the band’s blog.

“we’re also hard at work rehearsing. I just bought a Microkorg keyboard, which I’ve wanted for a long time, and it has been amusing me with weird sounds. Also Russell and I are writing some new UK garage-tinged jams. I kid you not.”

‘Cryptic’ will also feature on the forthcoming Kitsune Maison 5 Gold compilation alongside tracks from Late Of The Pier, MIA and The Teenagers.
