Singer's new clip forced off the air.

The video for Kylie Minogue's new single ‘Wow’ has been pulled over concerns that it contained excessive strobe lighting.

The video was scheduled to get its world premiere on Wednesday evening (January 30th) but was withdrawn by Channel 4 because it broke rules set by the television watchdog, Ofcom.

According to The Sun, the clip has fallen foul of Ofcom guidelines on strobe lighting and was not allowed to premiere on British television earlier this week (January 30).

The promo, which features the singer pole dancing with aliens, is now being re-edited before it can be shown.

Clips of the video have appeared online, on sites like YouTube, but the star's record label EMI has had them taken down because of copyright issues. The single, the second to be lifted from the 'X' album, is out on February 18.
