Groove Armada Yes, one of the biggest stadium acts in dance music are going back to their club roots with a bi-monthly residency at one of London's best clubs. Groove Armada launch their Bang The Box party at The End on Saturday 9 February, with Hector Romero (Def Mix) Digs from DiY and the Unabombers in attendance. Plus the Shapeshifters return with their Nocturnal party in AKA too!
It's been a while since anyone thought of Groove Armada as just a club act. But now Tom Findlay (the dark haired one) and Andy Cato (the tall blond one) are making a return to their club roots with a regular bi-monthly residency at their favourite London club, The End.
Findlay shared his thoughts on the new night, 'We're really looking forward to the new residency - it's been a long time since we played regularly on the London club scene. For the first party I'm playing the main room - I love The End's main room for its total chaos, being right in the middle of all that mania! '
'However, I'm also looking forward to playing the back room at future parties - you can get that real house party vibe in there.'
And they've really got a party in store, with the main room packed with talent: think Hector 'Def Mix' Romero, Digs from old school house crew DiY and Radio 1's Rachel Barton. Then add in the Unabombers, plus Severino from ace '21st Century Tea Dance' Horse Meat Disco in the lounge, and they've really got themselves a party.
Quite frankly, that's a line-up that would feed a hungry horse (a 'house' horse? - ed.), so we won't even mention the Shapeshifters returning with their Nocturnal residency to AKA. No, we'll keep that quiet.
