White Stripes to Release Single in Spanish Language

The White Stripes have announced the release of their very first Spanish-language single -- a new version of their current hit 'Conquest'. The band will release 'Conquista' under the name Las Rayas Blancas (The White Stripes in Spanish) in the US on February 19. The new version is a "blistering nouveau flamenco number that climaxes in a violent musical battle between Mexican trumpeter Regulo Aldama and Jack White in his fastest solo on record," according to a statement released by the band. :: story continues below :: The single, which will be available on CD and 7-inch vinyl, features a B-side acoustic version of the song performed by a mariachi band.
