Created On: Saturday, 23 February 2008 Hits: 93  DJ TC Over just 12 months, TC has become one of the major names to drop in any conversation about young talent in the D'n'B scene. TC's style is upfront and in-your-face, but not without a certain style, as the variety - and the quality - on this compilation shows. There are absolute classics like LK by Marky and XRS and there's the deep stuff (Jenna G's In Love), there's synth-fulled new school like Chrissy Chris' Us and there's even some old school reggae-inflected business like Too Bad VIP from Taxman. As Bristol-born TC explains, 'I want to make music that can be enjoyed by anyone. I make every style of drum and bass because you never know where you are going to be playing. You might turn up to the gig and there's 8000 people standing in front of you wanting you to smash it or maybe just 300, but you have to have the right tools in your box to get the job done and take them on a journey.' So TC is an artist with a big future in the scene ahead of him, it seems. He's certainly come a long way from the streets of St Pauls, the legendarily rough part of Bristol that's also home to Massive Attack, Tricky and of course Roni Size. Definitely one to watch.
