Anthony Rother to Play at Melkweg and Simplon

German electro don Anthony Rothers will pay a brief visit to The Netherlands the end of March. As Mr Datapunk usually only plays the Dutch big summer festivals, an upcoming gig can be labelled as a unique night out for electropunk fanatics.

Rothers history is impressive to say the least. His love for Kraftwerk's robotism can be heard throughout out his many productions and performances. From his 1994 debut on Kanzleramt right through until his latest release Don't Panic on his own label Datapunk, his raw techno and electro sound has proven to raise the roof of any club.

Next to that Rother gained worldwide respect with albums such as Sex With The Machines, Simulationszeitalter, Hacker, Life is Life is Love, Popkiller and countless vinyls including We Are Punks and Father.

Anthony Rother's visit will consist of two performances. First up is a gig at Klinch at the Melkweg venue in Amsterdam where he will play alongside Ille Bitch, Estroe and Michael von L. As usual, Rother will bring along a myriad of drum computers, synthesizers and vocoders for a full throttle live performance.

29th March will see Anthony travelling north where he will headline Simplon Invites at Simplon, Groningen. With support coming from Eva Maria, Orchid and Giorgos Gatzigristos, this event promises to become another robot-rock fest to remember.
