Falu And Philip Glass Team-Up to Honor Gandhi
Falu
Indian singer Falu is teaming up with renowned composer Philip Glass and Anthony Romero, Executive Director of the ACLU, to honor Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy of non-violence.

On Thursday, April 3, they plan to hold an event benefiting Tricycle Magazine: The Buddhist Review, a not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1990. The performance and dinner begins at 6:00 p.m. at The Prince George Hotel Ballroom on East 27th Street in Manhattan. Tickets are available at HERE.

Falu will also be performing a free concert the following evening, April 4, in conjunction with Carnegie Hall’s Neighborhood Concert Series. At 7 p.m. she will take the stage at Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning, located in Jamaica, Queens. Born in Bombay, Falu is quickly becoming known for her ability to blend a modern inventive rock style with a classically-shaped Indian voice.

She released her self-titled debut album in August of last year and has performed in the past with Yo-Yo Ma. Falu recently collaborated with Wyclef Jean, lending her voice to the film, A Place in Time, the directorial-debut of Angelina Jolie. For more information check out her website, www.falumusic.com.
