Created On: Thursday, 27 March 2008 Hits: 42 ![]() P Diddy Now, in the most recent turn of events, it appears he was right. The LA Times today released a statement apologising for the use of duped documents, as reported by the BBC. LA Times editor Russ Stanton said: "The bottom line is that the documents we relied on should not have been used." Though writer Chuck Philips claimed to have analysed the legitimacy of the sources before he used them in his article, he now said the he wished he had done more to establish their reliability. Philip’s article suggested that Combs was involved directly in the 1994 shooting that sparked a murderous feud between East and West coast rappers in the states, which culminated in the murders of Shakur and Notorious BIG. Though Combs declined to be interviewed over the article, which appeared on the LA Times Online last week, he immediately refuted the claims, asking fans to “analyse this piece of fiction for what it is.” |
