Created On: Thursday, 03 April 2008 Hits: 36 ![]() The Black Keys The Ohio blues-rock duo were in top form, running through several new tracks from their Danger Mouse-produced album that came out Stateside yesterday, including 'Strange Times' and 'Things Ain't Like They Used To Be'. The receptive crowd was filled with mostly male fans young and old, who cheered at nearly every extended guitar riff and drum solo. The duo displayed tremendous energy during their 75-minute set, Auerbach with his head down, hair flying, concentrating on his bluesy riffs, and Patrick Carney wailing away on the drums. After the band ended their set and left the stage, the house lights came up, but the fans were undeterred and continued cheering loudly until the band returned to the stage for a three-song encore. The Black Keys will continue their US tour in support of 'Attack & Release' with a show at San Francisco's Warfield Theatre last night (April 2nd) before hitting several cities across the country, as previously reported. |
