Created On: Friday, 04 April 2008 Hits: 68 ![]() DJ Sasha Clubland's always alive with news, rumours and gossip. Who's up? Who's down? Who's behind that great new single? And whose album was a not as good as it should have been? So in the last half of 2007, talk turned to a certain lad we're all very aware of, a performer who looms large over the scene he dominated so long, whether it was with his DJ-skills, his music, or more recently, his mastery of new software like the mighty Ableton. Disc One: The Remixes allows four of the top producers in the scene to reinterpret the Emfire tunes, each providing a club mix and a leftfield mix too. This tops out as 70 unmixed minutes from Slam, Audion, Radio Slave and The Field - names that will impress anyone who likes dance music, from whatever end of the scene. Disc Two: The Score features some edited original tracks, the Spangled Rubadud of classic track Coma and the newly (X Dance) award-winning score to surf movie New Emissions Of Light & Sound. A beautiful soundtrack to a thoughtful movie, this adds film-scoring to Sasha's already impressive portfolio of sonic skills. |
