| Pete Doherty Gets 14 Weeks Probation |

Created On: Tuesday, 08 April 2008 Hits: 37 ![]() Pete Doherty During a 30-minute hearing at West London Magistrates Court this afternoon, Pete Doherty was told his sentence was for "breach of time keeping, non-compliance of his order and using different drugs." It’s understood that Doherty turned up late for one of his scheduled probation meetings. Doherty was given suspended sentence for drug and driving offences in October last year. According to his record label, Parlophone, all tickets for the original show will still be valid for the re-scheduled date. Parlophone’s statement said the singer “would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and to all those concerned." It's not yet clear whether he will still be able to commit to an appearance at this years Glastonbury festival in June. Doherty previously spent time in jail for breaking into a flat owned by his former Libertines band mate Carl Barat. Doherty’s original six month sentence was reduced to two months on appeal. |
