Exit Festival Reveal Dance Arena Lineup

The organisation behind the Exit Festival have announced a string of names confirmed to perform at the event's Dance Arena. This year's edition will see some of the most esteemed dance acts heading for the lauded four-day gathering.

The full lineup for the Dance Arena is yet to be announced, but it can already be said that this year's edition comes with a plethora of impressive names.

Confirmed artists for 2008 include Deep Dish (Dubfire & Sharam), Kruder & Dorfmeister Summer Sessions, Sven Väth, Soulwax live, 2ManyDJ's, Laurent Garnier, Francois K, Tiga, Booka Shade live, Ben Watt, and Claude Von Stroke with many more yet to follow. The total number of gigs is set to 600, covering 25 stages connected by cobbled streets, ramparts and tunnels on the event's historical playground in the grounds of the Petrovaradin Fortress on the banks of the Danube river in Novi Sad, Serbia.

Exit encompasses all genres from rock to rap, classical to chill, and electronic to experimental. Other artists that have been confirmed include Juliette Lewis & The Licks, Primal Scream, The Sex Pistols, M.I.A, Gogol Bordello and The Hives. The first edition was held nine years ago as a protest against the communist regime, but has since grown out to become one of the leading festivals in Europe with an annual 20,000 visitors. The event is lauded by many artists and visitors for its combination of in-fashion music to its anchored historical location in Novi Sad, Serbia, and was awarded Best European Festival at the UK Festival Awards.

Four-day festival passes are priced at GBP 72 (excluding booking fees) and are available direct from the Exit website and through Lastminute.com. Camping is available from 8th to 14th July and priced at GBP 14 plus a small booking fee.
