Created On: Friday, 02 May 2008 Hits: 40  Alice Cooper In addition to raising funds for addiction recovery services, MusiCares will honor Alice Cooper and Slash for their commitment to helping musicians deal with addiction, according to a press release. Cooper will receive the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for his devotion to helping other addicts with the recovery process. Cooper and Slash are also expected to perform during the event. The MusiCares MAP Fund, established in 2004, maintains a pool of resources specifically to address addiction recovery and sober living needs of members of the music community regardless of their financial circumstances.
