 ADateZ Inc. Covering no less than nine areas and having extended its festival terrain, this year's edition will again come with a number of the most lauded artists in the fields of house, minimal, techno and electro. A look at the lineup reveals the introduction of in-fashion electroism to the festival alongside Extrema's long-time favored progressive house trademark.
Minimal fanatics will be pleased to see the presence of Richie Hawtin's Minus imprint on the site. Celebrating its 10 years of existence in the Netherlands, this stage will see performances from the likes of Mr. Hawtin himself, as well as Minus proteges Magda, Troy Pierce, Barem and Heartthrob.
With electro/house crossovers topping many international charts as of late, Extrema presents a number of performances featuring the most popular acts in this genre. Those about to rock are Boys Noize, Kavinsky, DMX Krew, The Subs and Love Parade initiator Dr. Motte at the Novalectra stage, while DJ Hell's Gigolo imprint comes with gigs from the likes of David Carretta, Seelenluft and Play Paul.
The Mixed Stage will see Dr. Lektroluv, Erol Alkan, Goose and Claude Vonstroke teaming up behind the decks among others. Techno's enfant terrible Dave Clarke will present his infamous White Noise sound to the festival with a self-wise roster of artists. Among the jocks to spin are Detroit legend Carl Craig, Josh Wink, Vitalic, Radio Slave and
Clarke himself.
Extrema finds its roots in progressive and funky house, and the organisation has yet again managed to come up with another high-quality roster of artists in this genre. Headlining the renowned Future Funk stage will be Erick Morillo, Steve Angello, Fedde Le Grand and Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso among others, while the best in progressive tunage will be presented at the Lakeside Stage with performances from Satoshi Tomiie, Hernan Cattaneo, Behrouz and Eelke Kleijn.
Closing the event will be a spectacular theatrical show in the middle of the lakes with musical support coming from Extrema's own Rene Amesz. It has been announced that this act will completely match this year's theme of Insane Beauty.
