Felix Da Housecat Goes Global at Ministry of Sound
Felix Da Housecat
Felix has mixed the latest Global Underground compilation - and ode to his beloved Milan - but this Saturday 10th May he's headlining the only GU residency in the UK, with a gig at Ministry Of Sound alongside Anil Chawla and Jim Rivers.

Global Underground: Milan is the label's first compilation of the year, so it's definitely something to celebrate. It's a meeting of one of the finest DJs in dance music with one of the most respected brands. The former was an original house music innovator from Chicago, who went on to reinvent his sound (and indeed the sound of most of the dance-floors of clubland) when he unwittingly created the sound known as 'eletroclash', while the latter revolutionised the idea of DJ-mixed compilations as we know and love them.

If Felix and the Global Underground crew can't throw a good party (especially in the newly-revamped Ministry Of Sound) then we'd all better start listening to rock music and wearing skinny jeans.

Playing alongside Felix, who will be mixing up minimal techno and his beloved electro in the main room, is Anil Chawla. Anil was a Turnmills resident in the latter period of the club, as he played regularly at Together alongside acid house mainstay Justin Robertson. Nowadays he's sure to be a regular sight at Ministry as The Gallery parties have re-launched there - his set at the first party at Ministry really caused a stir.

His house & techno sets have impressed so much, in fact, that he's been working on his new artist album (with Dale Anderson) for Global Underground. Production ace Jim Rivers completes the Box line-up, as yet another Global Underground crowd favourite.

Over in the Baby Box there's Cass from Rogue Audio, longtime Ministry man Marc Hughes and Dubfunk too - messy!
