The sentence, which could have been up to 25 years in jail, came down from the New York Supreme Court. The 26-year-old claims that the shooting was an accident and plans to appeal the decision. Last month she announced plans to marry her fiance, fellow rapper Papoose, while in jail. Her attorney said that the couple intend to go ahead with marriage plans despite the sentence.
