Rihanna to Start Movie Career Alongside Mos Def

The film is an adaptation of the 1969 novel of the same name which tells the story of family life in 1930’s America. The book tells the story of a black household in the 1930s American south. The film will be directed by Darren Grant, who made his name directing music videos for the likes of Destiny's Child.
