Pink Floyd Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has apparently snubbed Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour's offer to play at this year's festival.
According to The Sun, Gilmour personally contacted Eavis offering to perform the iconic album 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' at the festival but was told he wouldn't be needed.
A source explained: "Dave has always had a soft spot for Glastonbury. He's got a window in his touring plans and thought he'd contact Michael about performing."

However the source added that Eavis felt a set from Gilmour wouldn't be what the youngsters would want to see and added: "While Michael was grateful for the offer he turned it down. He wants the event to appeal to a younger generation, and feels that Dave wouldn't".
This year’s Glastonbury Festival, which takes place from June 27th-29th, has yet to sell out.
