Mick Jagger Pays Tribute To Bo Diddley
Rolling Stones
Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has paid tribute to the late Bo Diddley – calling the guitarist an "enormous force in music".

Bo Diddley, who was famous for his square guitar and glasses, died from heart failure at his home in Florida on Monday (June 2nd). He was 79.

Speaking to the Press Association, Jagger said: "He was a wonderful, original musician who was an enormous force in music and was a big influence on The Rolling Stones.”

The singer, who has covered Diddley’s ‘Mona’ and ‘Crackin' Up’ with the Rolling Stones, went on to describe Diddley as a one off.

"He was very generous to us in our early years and we learned a lot from him,” Jagger said. "We will never see his like again."

Diddley was forced to return to Florida after suffering a stroke whilst on tour in Iowa in May 2007. He then suffered a heart attack three months later.
