Rolling Stones Sign Deal with Live Nation, Leave EMI
Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones will be signing a contract with famous concert promoters Live Nation and leaving their current label EMI for good.

According to Guardian.co.uk, the deal is almost done and details for it would be announced in the next few days.

The deal reportedly will be giving Live Nation a rights to market the Stones' back catalog which worth about 3 million pounds per year.

Not only that, reports also said that the tour promoters would also control the rockers touring and merchandising in the future.

The Stones' contract with EMI actually has expired in February, but there haven't been any clear statements whether the band would extend it or move from the label.

Meanwhile, the rock band's latest studio album release under the troubled record label was "A Bigger Bang", outed in 2005.

Previously, the legendary rockers already released a live album titled "Shine a Light", in April 1, with another record label, Universal Records, but it was only a one deal agreement.

Apparently the latest reports also stated that Universal also have a part on the Stones upcoming deal with Live Nation as they will be receiving new catalog of the band from the tour promoters and also have the rights to sell it.
