Paul van Dyk For the past five years Paul van Dyk has performed at Central Park in New York City. Put on annually by Made Event last year's performance drew over 10,000 people.
This year Made Event has decided to shake things up by having van Dyk play at Pier 54 on August 16 instead of Central Park.
Historically, Pier 54 was considered one of New York's key launching spots for ocean liners and it even provided a point of origin for the Lusitania's first voyage.
Pier 54 has now become one of the city's largest performance spaces. Most recently it was home to the 2008 official NYC LGBT Dance on the Pier party for Pride weekend.
This will be the first time ever in New York City that Paul van Dyk's 4-hour live set is accompanied by a full sound system installation engineered specifically for this event. This installation will be done by none other than Integral Sound.
An industry leader, Integral Sound has provided sound installations to such clubs as Cocoon in Frankfurt, Shelter in New York City, and a number of parties held annually for the Winter Music Conference in Miami.
Made Event will reveal the surprises and themes associated with Paul van Dyk at Pier 54 in the coming weeks. Tickets are currently available for $45.
