Bloc Party Super Furry Animals frontman and Neon Neon has backed Bloc Party's Kele Okereke in the recent 'racism' row between Bloc Party and the Sex Pistols.
As previously reported, Kele Okereke accused a member of the Sex Pistols' frontman entourage of racially abusing him at the Summercase Festival last weekend (July 19).
John Lydon denied the claims of racial abuse, claiming that the Bloc Party singer was "lying" about the incident.
Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals, who was present backstage when the confrontation occurred, has claimed that Okereke was indeed racially abused.
"The statements Kele has said are absolutely true," Rhys told MTV News. "It did happen."
"It was horrific," he continued. "Kele is a very brave man and what he said is exactly what happened."
