Radiohead Radiohead have begun working on the follow-up to their 2007 album 'In Rainbows'.
Speaking to BBC 6 after losing the Mercury Music Prize to Elbow on Tuesday (September 9), Colin Greenwood said that the band plan to enter the recording studio before the end of the month.
"We've finished the main bulk of it and we’re off to Japan in a couple of weeks to finish it off," Greenwood said.
The band's guitarist Ed O'Brien told the BBC 6 that they were "really excited" by the music that they have created so far.
"First we came off tour to do some writing and we wanted to just carry on doing it because it was so brilliant," he said.
'In Rainbows' was initially available last year as a download only, where fans could name what price they wanted to pay for the album.
The band recently wrapped up a tour of North America, and will head to Japan for a series of dates in October, and as previously reported, German duo Modeselektor will support Thom York and co at the Japan's tour.
