Gilles Peterson Gilles Peterson's name is synonymous with the more leftfield side of dance music, via both his 'Worldwide' Radio 1 show and his international DJ career, so what's he doing mixing the latest offering from Defected's In The House series? Well, he's just getting back to his roots…
If we take look into Gilles' past, he's not really such a surprising choice by Defected. Based upon twenty years of DJ experience, these CDs reflect the diminutive DJ's past as A&R for the legendary Acid Jazz and Talkin' Loud labels, as well as his time running Sunday sessions with Patrick Forge at Dingwalls and his Worldwide radio show. Thus there's a lot of ground to cover in this, his first house-based mix compilation. |

Sorry, No Image available Sunburn is looking to be one of the most wanted parties in Asia this summer (mind you, its summer in India now), happening on the beaches of Candolim, Goa, in India. The destination, well known for its spectacular NYE celebrations and as a Mecca for ravers from around the world, is gearing up to host this not-to-be-missed dance festival, which will run for two days (28th and 29th of December).
Creative Head Nikhil Chinapa (a VJ on MTV India), has no doubt that the party will be a milestone for India's profile on the international music scene. "One of the major tasks that I had to complete was the extremely difficult one of choosing the line-up for Sunburn from the vast and extremely talented potpourri of DJs around the world. |

On Wednesday 31 December, Turnmills will be encouraging you to all get Together, for a New Years Eve bash that's pretty huge, even by their standards. This year (and indeed, for the first few hours of the next one) they've got Mixmag's 'best party DJs in the world' 2manyDJs leading the charge in T1. |

Snowbombing Sometimes, just going clubbing isn't enough. It's shocking but it's true: sometimes you want to get away as well, and you also might like the opportunity to go extra hard on the powder… which is where Snowbombing comes in, of course.
In 2008 Snowbombing, the annual festival that combines the best of dance music with the best snowboarding slopes in the world (or some of them, anyway) will go to new heights as it bids to give you the kind of messy winter break that you'll never forget. |

DJ Duo Filthy Dukes It’s difficult to imagine the dark dungeons of London’s Fabric full of glowstick-toting clubbers, but that’s exactly what happened when the Filthy Dukes held their recent Kill Em All bash. “It was insane,” said Olly Dixon, one half of the Dukes. “I know it’s not very original but seeing 2000 glowsticks in the club looked cool, with The Klaxons DJing and our other residents Simian Mobile Disco rocking it.” Kill Em All The Filthy Dukes first started their Kill Em All club night at Barfly in Camden Town, London, which they still run monthly. |
