The story of the A-side, Back To My Roots, is thus: on the evening of Friday 29th February, Garnier was busily rocking Berlin's Panorama Bar to its very foundations. So far, so good, but at 5am the Frenchman still hadn't had enough, so he continued playing for another three hours. |

 Pet Shop Boys The Pet Shop Boys will play an exclusive one off show in London next month in honour of their former assistant Dainton Connell, who died last year.
The band’s show, at Heaven on May 2nd, will feature a collaboration with Suggs and Carl from Madness.
Connell, who died in a car crash in Moscow last year, was a close friend of the Pet Shop Boys and had appeared in a number of videos with them. |

 Carl Craig The ninth annual MUTEK festival has announced a partial lineup of headliners slated to play in Montreal May 28 through June 1. Since 2000 the not-for-profit organization MUTEK has been presenting a diverse lineup of artists each year at its festival. Past headliners have included Ricardo Villalobos, Jamie Lidell, and Luciano. MUTEK has developed such a following that satellite festivals have been launched in Chile, Mexico, and Argentina. For up-and-coming talent being asked to perform at the festival is a major breakthrough. These artists are able to mingle and share creative ideas with many of their peers. |

 Matthew Dear On April 4th, 2008 Matthew Dear's hard drive was stolen while he was performing at Galapagos Art Space in New York City.
According to Brooklyn Vegan, the source which reported this first, “Dear had been playing a killer set for 2 hours or so. Suddenly he got a message on his computer saying that his hard disk drive was unplugged.” No additional information has been announced but it is quite the house warming gift. |
