 Alice Cooper Blind Melon and Camp Freddy --with special guests Chester Bennington, Wayne Kramer, Duff McKagan, Chad Smith, Steven Tyler and Robin Zander--will perform at the 4th annual MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert, scheduled for May 9 at The Music Box at Fonda in Hollywood.
In addition to raising funds for addiction recovery services, MusiCares will honor Alice Cooper and Slash for their commitment to helping musicians deal with addiction, according to a press release. |

 Arctic Monkeys Arctic Monkeys have been nominated for Best Album and Best Live Act at this years Mojo Awards.
The Sheffield group, Arctic Monkeys will go head-to-head with Led Zeppelin in the Live category, after the veteran group picked up a nomination for their reunion show last December.

 Mika The winners for the 2008 MTV Australia Music Awards have been announced on Saturday, April 28.
Australian local artists Delta Goodrem and The Veronicas received the top awards at the annual event. Delta wins the Music Video of the Year Award for her video "Believe Again" beating other contenders, such as Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie, 50 Cent, Foo Fighters and Mika.
As for Veronicas, the twins female singers grabbed the award for Australian Artist Music Award, beating also some top names including, Delta and Silverchair. |

 John Hiatt John Hiatt, whose rootsy songs have been recorded by artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Willie Nelson and B.B. King, will receive the Americana Music Association's lifetime achievement award for songwriting.

 Dolly Parton Dolly Parton, Rodney Atkins and Carrie Underwood are among the country stars lined up to perform at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards show, organizers announced Tuesday.
The May 18 show will be telecast live on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on the Las Vegas Strip.
